I tell you, this whole actually doing work at work thing is really taking the wind out of my sail. I mean when am I supposed to blog my heart out, and better yet when am I supposed to do my pointless internets surfing to find worthless information? As always I will promise to do better only to fail miserably.
So today I have an entry that I noticed on Wednesday but didn’t have time to post it until today. What the freak is going on here?
My cube neighbor was searching for one of these
(technically the monkey but the chick is a better visual of the final product) and she was searching on urbanoutfitter.com because that’s where she purchased the original monkey which suddenly sprouted a full head of hair over the weekend.
I was surprised to see that not only has Urban launched a new site, but they have also decided to go with the acronym U.O. Ok, I can handle getting rid of the faux masking tape and scribbly scanned in hand-written text, but who is going to refer to Urban Outfitters as U.O.? N.O.! If anything Urban Outfitters is known as Urban. I have called it Urban since way back in the day and rarely even add the Outfitters, so why would I ever feel the need to change the name to something that doesn’t even sound the slightest bit fun or catchy? Is this a bad marketing move or am I just too crabby and old to be in the Urban, sorry U.O., demographic anymore?
At least throw me an “F” or something. Geesh. See if I buy your poorly made over-priced patchouli-scented clothing ever again.
